Waldemar Martinez is a 2021 SS/3B, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Barranquitas, PR who attends Superior Luis Muñoz Marin. Medium frame with a lean, athletic type build. Ran a 6.89 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, quick first step actions as he proved to have lateral range. Worked smoothly around the baseball as he gathered out front with confidence. Quick transfer and then released as he threw it 79 mph across the diamond. Accurate throws and proved he could change slots and not lose any accuracy. Feel for the position and projects here going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting even while balanced in the stance. Utilized a toe tap to stride type load as the hands get deep. Longer swing path as he flashed a slightly uphill swing path through the hitting zone. Looked to lift the baseball when possible and did so with some success. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
