Blaise Fischer is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Etowah HS. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. High leg lift and worked to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Created some recoil at finish. Quick arm circle and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly creating occasional downward plane through the zone in the low to mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Curveball showed looser spin with 1/7 shape in the mid 60's. Consistently looked to work to the bottom of the zone with both pitches and induced weaker contact. Also worked out defensively from first base showing a clean glove action while funneling with two hands outs front. Showed some range while working off the bag and released from a loose arm slot. Throws produced on line carry across the infield topping at 75 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, even stance and reaching front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Compact hand path to baseball with a level, line drive barrel plane through extension. Looked to create contact out front while utilizing a mid field approach. Flashed the barrel feel and hand control to work the other way as well. Excellent student.
