Owen Cottle is a 2017 RHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Harwich, MA who attends Monomoy Regional High School. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Primary righthanded pitcher, takes a side step moving into windup and shows balance throughout with sound tempo and pace. Full and fluid arm action through the back, works to a mid three-quarters arm slot, occasionally gets lower or higher at times. Shows an understanding on the mound of how to sequence, throws three pitches for strikes and fills up the bottom of the zone. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with running life to arm side created at release, able to induce ground ball contact. Slows arm action some on changeup and curveball but able to throw each for strikes. Curveball featured short sweeping life with 10-4 shape, worked away from right-handers with the pitch. Changeup flashes short tumbling life down in the zone when on top of the ball. Very good student.
