Andrew D'Alessio is a 2021 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Xavier High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. R an a 7.82 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows quickness to footwork moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front with some bend at the waist, extra step at release a d works over front side well, gets on top of throws across the diamond. Also pitched, works exclusively out of stretch, gets tall on backside during gather over the rubber with a high leg lift, incorporates lower half well into drive towards the plate. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, comes out clean and shows running life down in the zone. Curveball has tight rotation and 11-5 shape, consistent feel and landed for strikes down in the zone. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance in the box and utilizes a middle of the field approach. Upper body dominant swing, shows quickness to hands and creates extension out front, linear stroke through the zone and showed a consistent handle for the barrel, projects with additional lower half incorporate into swing.
