Jed Downham is a 2020 C with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Fort Wayne, IN who attends Bishop Dwenger HS. Medium build, present strength with more room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.99 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, low set in crouch, would like to see more ground gained into throws for added arm strength, receives ball with quickness getting overly quick at times, footwork is developing at this time but repeats mechanics well, throws are consistently accurate to the bag, 2.09 second best pop. Lefthanded hitter, deep set in box, inside hand path to ball, feel for barrel is still developing but showed occasional strength when on time, mostly opposite field contact approach shown during round. Great student.
