Brycen McDonald is a 2025 RHP/C, 1B, 3B, OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Hohenwald, TN who attends Lewis County. He ran a 7.50 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a larger frame. On the mound he starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift showing a slight hip coil as he staystall on the back side coming down the mound. The fastball sat 76-80 mph with a shorter arm action as the he works to a three-quarters arm slot creating subtle arm side life. H endowed a slider with short horizontal break while the curveball has more depth with 11-5 shape as he found the release for it and landed it consistently. Behind the plate he starts in a side straddle stance with an early step as he starts gaining ground into his throws with a shorter am action throwing from a taller position with average arm strength. On the infield he displayed firm hands with later glove presentation as he works quick to the ball and does a nice job getting off a quick throw with a fast transfer. Right-handed hitter, the barrel works short to the ball with some looseness in the wrist while displaying some strength at the point of contact. The swing is triggered by a large leg lift and worked most consistently to the pull side. Excellent student. Named to the Mid South Top Prospect List.
