Austin Hunter is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. Pius X HS. Recorded a 7.70 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with broad shoulders and significant physical projection. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a very easy operation with good angle to the plate. Longer arm stroke and gets the fastball under the hands. Good life down and to the arm side and sells the changeup well with good fade. Curveball has sweeping life that he can land for strikes and he lands the changeup well to the arm side. Arm strength plays from secondary position of first base. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open stance with present bat speed. Middle of the field approach and creates leverage through contact. Balanced with a linear weight shift and flashes big raw power. Good student. Named to the Main Event TP List.
