George Emmet Sheehan is a 2017 RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Darien, CT who attends Fordham Prep. Very nice pitcher's build, long and lean and projectable, has some present strength with plenty more to come. Slow paced wind up, accelerates late to the plate, long and lose arm action with good arm speed, high 3/4's arm slot, still developing the ability to repeat his mechanics and release point. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, higher velocity fastballs are straight but gets good sink at the lower ranges. True slider shows good spin and bite at times, will flash quality with his change up but tends to slow his arm on the pitch and is more inconsistent than with his other pitches. Interesting young arm who shows three promising pitches and projects in all areas. 7.17 runner and has good overall athleticism. Good student.
