Joseph Garza is a 2018 2B/OF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well and shows quick footwork, stays low to and through the ball, smooth transfer into short arm action, occasionally gets under throws, arm strength will continue to develop across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, starts with a wide base and a slight crouch to stance. High leg lift trigger at start for timing, shows present bat speed and prospects for more with continued strength. Line drive swing plane and shows a feel for the barrel, gets it to the ball for consistent contact and does a nice job of getting through the zone on time. Very good student.
