Wes Estes is a 2024 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Marvin Ridge. Solid well developed build with good present strength. Solid mound mechanics, gets balanced over the rubber well, sinks into his back side and works down the mound with good direction and drive, separates hands on time. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. Change up was his best pitch this day, had very good arm speed and nice fading life on the pitch, got lots of swing/miss on the pitch. Slider was a good pitch f him as well with plenty of spin and tightness and occasional sharp bite. Threw strikes with all three pitches. Good student. Named to the Carolina Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
