Adonis Smith is a 2024 RHP/C with a 5-9 200 lb. frame from Stockbridge, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Medium, broad shouldered with present physicality proportioned throughout frame. Right-handed pitcher, compact and higher arm circle through the backside working to a tight and high three-quarters release, showing the ability to work on top of the ball and generate downhill plane to the bottom of the zone. Fastball worked in the upper-80s and topped out at 89 mph, some effort at release but also generates short running life through the zone. Worked around the zone and stayed low with fastball, changeup is better of two secondaries at present, shows nice life to the pitch up to 79 mph with 2037 spin. Tends to land open with strike foot coming down the mound, mixed a short slider from a lower slot up to 76 mph. Good student.
