Cj Neese Jr is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 6-4 183 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Grimsley HS. Long and lean athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.01 runner, shows very good arm strength in the infield, fields the ball cleanly out front and makes accurate throws with good balance through release. Right handed hitter, has a short inside swing with a downhill swing plane from an even stance, simple approach and swing, some looseness in the barrel, will benefit from additional strength. Has potential on the mound and has a pitcher's look, fast and loose arm with good whip in it. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, gets very good spin and depth to his curveball. Has the chance to really improve on the mound if he can make lower half adjustments in his delivery. Excellent student, verbal commitment to North Carolina State.
