Matthew Puello is a 2021 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends All Hallows. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.11 seconds. Hits from open stance, active pre-pitch movements, arches back and up in load, leg lift trigger, coils well, barrels balls with consistency, drove a ball deep to CF in game for an inside the park HR, good hitting tools. Primary infielder, deeper funnel, shows good twitch and lateral agility, quick and clean release, clocked up to 92 mph across the diamond. Also took outfield reps and looked comfortable there, works through the ball and shows smooth hands and footwork, clocked up to 91 mph on throws. Committed to North Carolina Central, named to 2020 National Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
