Thomas Whitsett is a 6'1" 180 pound 2007 right handed pitcher and third baseman from Orland, California who attends Willows High School. He has a strong body with a large mature frame and room for added muscle. Thomas touched 82 mph on the mound with his fastball that had good tail and sink to it. His slider was very late at 69-71 mph with good depth to it and his change up was 70-73 mph. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good looseness out front. He has a balanced delivery and is very aggressive towards the hitters.At the plate, Whitsett hits with an average base and a small stride towards contact. He uses his hands very well and sprays the ball to all fields. He tends to stay inside the ball very well and hit line drives with his good bat speed. He has good hands at third base and handles the routine ball very well. Thomas is a good student as well with a 3.0 gpa.
