Alex Espinel is a 2019 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Pope HS. Medium frame with athletic, slender build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.29 seconds. Sets up to hit from wider base with high hand set, rotational lower half in swing with line drive swing plane, slight loft to path, shows looseness and bat speed, repeats simplistic swing well and flashes barrel skills, projects for extra base power. Worked out in the infield, reads hops and moves feet well defensively, glove works well out front, works through and shows solid arm strength, clocked up to 80 mph across the diamond. Very good student.
