Matthew Miller is a 2016 3B/MIF, RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Hagerhill, KY who attends Paintsville. Large frame, long angular build with some broad shoulders and present strength, still has room to fill out. Left handed hitter, narrow, upright stance with high back elbow. Uses toe-tap timing mechanism, solid weight transfer and incorporation of lower half. Natural slightly uphill plane, demonstrated solid feel for barrel, most hard contact to the pullside, gets extended nicely but could let the ball travel a little deeper. Flashes some smoothness in the infield, good transfer and release to go along with developing arm strength. Also pitches, deliberate pace out of the windup, does a good job staying balanced. Loose, extended arm-action, up to 81 mph off of the mound. Excellent student. Named to Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
