Andrew Armstrong is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 140 lb. frame from Flowery Branch, GA who attends Flowery Branch HS. Medium-large frame with lean, slender present build and lots of projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.25 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, quick tempo on the mound, stays online and compact throughout delivery with good direction to the plate. Three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 78-80 mph and peaked at 82 mph with good arm side run. Worked in sharp curveball with 1/7 shape and tightness, also showed changeup with good sink and fade. Really filled up the zone and impressed. Hits from upright narrow stance with good weight transfer, simple short swing with middle field approach, showed ability to handle the barrel and spray contact. Worked out in the outfield, waits back on the ball, fields cleanly with stationary feet, shows off solid arm strength clocked up to 81 mph. Good student.
