Alex Hernandez is a 2024 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Forsyth Central. Large, athletic frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 6.91 60-yard dahs. Primary third baseman, moves well on feet in the dirt, clean exchanges out of glove, quick arm action and shows big arm strength and carry across the diamond when letting it go, arm plays on left side of the infield; showed actions in the outfield, extra step moving through release, full arm stroke through the back, arm strength plays to the intended base. Also pitched, side step into a leg lift up above belt; long arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, can vary tempo/looks on mound; slider progressed nicely and can get consistent outs, up to 82 mph and able to land it in the zone with two plane break. Turns over the changeup well to left-handed hitters at 85 mph, very low spins with solid fading life. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Occasionally over rotates in swing but generates serious jump off of the barrel when squared up. Low effort stroke with lift through the zone, shows ability to impact to pull side and middle of the field when on time. Nice tools across the board. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
