2015 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Patrick Alvarez is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-5 140 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Myers Park HS. Has a lean build, slender frame, younger look, plenty of room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 6.81 60-yard dash. From the infield, showed good footwork, smooth actions, and good lateral range. Made accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot with arm strength up to 74 MPH. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance and high hand set. Has a short, compact swing on a line drive swing plane. Has a pull-side approach with good barrel whip to the baseball, present strength for young player. Excellent student.
