Louis Davenport III is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Tucker, GA who attends Tucker HS. Long and lean athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Long and deep arm action in back, stays on line well and is well balanced throughout his delivery, drop and drive mechanics, gets back fully turned to the plate, gets more rotation than drive to the plate. Steady mid-80's fastball, has the ability to get to both sides of the plate well,mostly straight. Slider is a good pitch, showed increasing feel for it throughout the outing and can throw on any count, good tilt and some bit to it. Topped out at 89 mph in Jupiter in October and projects well physically. Did not hit at this event but showed good athleticism in the outfield in drills. Goods student.
