Ricardo A Ortiz Castro is a 2015 OF/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Humacao, PR who attends Colegio Nuestra Senora del Perpetuo Socorro. Very nice athletic build, tall and strong and projectable. Right handed hitter, spread stance, high back elbow, exaggerated inside swing approach, looking to hit the ball up the middle or to the opposite field, has the strength and leverage to look to drive the ball and will need to make adjustments to use his natural tools. 6.98 runner, charges the ball aggressively in the outfield, can improve his footwork and balance throwing, has some raw arm strength to develop. Nice looking athlete with tools but young fundamentals.
