Chris Pethan is a 2006 outfielder with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Duluth, Georgia, who attends Duluth High School. He is a lean and athletic player with speed and first step quickness. Defensively he has balanced and athletic actions in the outfield. He gets good jumps on the ball off the bat, and he fields the ball cleanly. Pethan has very good arm strength with online carry to the base. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a line drive swing plane. There is body movement pre-pitch, but he gets in position to hit well. He has good bat speed through the hitting zone and makes consistent contact. Pethan shows raw power and strength in his swing at times when he gets leverage at the point of contact. Pethan plays the game hard, and shows very good game speed. He is also a good student.
