Stephen Keller is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Huffman, TX who attends Hargrave HS. Big and strong mature build. Deep arm action in back, high 3/4's to over the top arm action coming through, leans back to get his arm through and creates upper body torque, has some energy at release but controls it well. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, does a very good job of working downhill to the bottom of the zone from his release slot, ball is heavy at the plate. Mid-70's curveball has true 12/6 shape at times with hard spin and huge depth, potential plus pitch if he can command it. Did not observe a change up. Very hard to hit when he's down in the zone and throwing strikes. Verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
