Michael Rounds is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Milton, MA who attends Roxbury Latin. XL frame with long, lean present build and high projectability on body. Ran well, posting a 6.95 seconds 60 yard dash time. Primary pitcher, showing clean arm action with mild effort to low 3/4 slot with extension out front, creates some angle, projectable arm speed, FB worked 76-79 with heavy sinking life when located down in zone. Complemented FB with tight SL, showed varying shape, more slurvy in 64-67 range and sharper with more tilt in 68-70 range. Hard to square up either pitch, did good job eliciting weak contact throughout entire outing. Hits with tall, narrow stance, feet together at start, huge stride into contact, has hand quickness generating solid bat speed, flashed lift and raw power during BP, chance for good hit and power tools. Move well to the ball in the OF, waits back a bit when in position to field, easy transfer with longer arm action, OF velocity up to 78 MPH.
