Thomas Moustakis is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Boca Raton Community HS. Well proportioned athletic build, good strength for his age. Simple delivery mechanics, upper half delivery, will need to get more use of his strong lower half, 3/4's arm slot, compact arm action, repeats delivery well. Low 70's fastball, topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight, tends to pitch up in zone with fastball. Sweeping slurve type breaking ball, has good feel for locating it. Developing change up. Threw strikes with all three pitches and competed well. Left handed hitter, upper half rotational swing, flashed his strength in the game to the opposite field, again; can use lower half better to take care of strength.. Sound footwork and hands at first base. Good student.
