Leslie (Bubba) Thompson is a 2017 OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Theodore, AL who attends Mcgill-Toolen Catholic HS. Tall and lean athletic build, very projectable physically, lots of room to get stronger. 6.35 runner, graceful and easy running gait. very smooth actions in the outfield and should develop into a plus centerfielder with time, has a loose and projectable arm and good accuracy. Right handed hitter, limited shift to contact but gets to his front side, upper body swing with good hand use, will benefit offensively from additional strength, shows lift at times for future power when the strength kicks in. Very interesting athlete with a high ceiling. Verbal commitment to Auburn.
