Cj DiBenedetto is a 2019 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends East Chapel Hill HS. Recorded a 7.29 second 60-yard dash time. Lean and wiry build with good height and tons of room to fill out. Primary shortstop with quick feet and quickness to hands. Easy strides and overall actions. Fast arm on throws and throws from a three-quarters arm angle. Soft hands and releases the ball quickly. Secondary outfielder with fluidity to motion and rounds the ball well. Works well through throws with arm strength recorded up to 80 mph. Good carry on throws with clean throwing mechanics. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a loose arm action and good rhythm on the hill. Smooth and repeatable mechanics with a fast arm. Velocity up to 80 mph with much more in the tank. True life to the fastball and challenges the strike zone. Extended three-quarter arm slot while flashing a solid curveball. Maintained good arm speed on the pitch and had tight rotation and had good depth. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and inward toe tap into contact. High hand set with a high back elbow while swinging down onto the ball. Consistent line drives and fly balls to the pull side and up the middle. Gets on top well and is consistently on time. Good student.
