Kraminitz is a 6-2, 195 lb senior catcher from New Jersey with very good present strength. He ran the 60 in 7.78 and threw 74 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.07. Kraminitz receives the ball well behind the plate with strong hands and confident framing skills. His release is only average but he threw a couple of runners out in games with strong throws that he put right on the bag. Kraminitz has a big load at the plate and a long, aggressive swing that generates good bat speed. Some hitters with long swings are prone to strikeouts but Kraminitz showed good bat head skills and rarely swung and missed or went out of his comfort zone on his swing. He hit the ball consistently hard to the middle of the field and has some gap to gap power. Overall, Kraminitz has good skills and strength for his position and a durable baseball body. With improved overall quickness he could be a very good player at the next level.
