Marcos Jimenez is a 2015 C/UT with a 5-9 192 lb. frame from Stockton, CA who attends Bear Creek. Medium frame, thick strong build, good present strength. Good catch and throw ability, very quick transfer, can rush at times but showed frequent quick release times on throws to 2B. Good use of lower half in catch and throw mechanics, medium arm action, good extension, approach sacrifices throwing velocity for quick release time, accurate throws, good receiver. Short compact swing, hits from a slightly open stance, pull approach, contact hitter. Good student, named to top prospect list.
