Kenyon Yovan is a 2016 3B/RHP with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Beaverton, OR who attends Westview HS. Extra big and strong broad shouldered build, fairly mature physically. Two-way prospect but graded out higher on the mound this event. Big hip turn delivery, has energy in his delivery but is athletic and repeats his mechanics, drop and drive to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 mph, occasional running action. Sweeping breaking ball will vary between a curveball and a slider, best at higher velocities, tended to slow arm on his change up with some fading action. Right handed hitter, arm bar start, long and strong swing with big power to the gaps, looks to drive the ball and can get carry to all fields. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
