Morgan McCullough is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-7 175 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends West Seattle HS. Short compact build, good present strength. Left handed hitter, open stance with a high hand start, sees the ball very well and will take pitches and work counts, short quick swing, handles the barrel very well, will pull off his front side at times but still keep the barrel on plane in the zone, high average/high on-base leadoff type hitter who understands how to hit and puts together consistent quality at-bats. 6.84 runner, good hands and instincts in the middle infield, quick compact arm with some arm strength, smooth through the ball, very good charging, can stay at shortstop now but eventual position is second base. Really knows how to play the game and is going to play it for a long time. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
