Seamus Curran is a 2015 1B/C with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Feeding Hills, MA who attends Agawam. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a well proportioned frame with strength that plays well in game action. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball well out front, athletic actions off the bag, short arm action on throws across with accuracy. Left-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a high high set and back elbow. Shows a simple and repeatable swing, fluid path path with very good bat speed and feel for the barrel. Creates hard contact and shows power to all fields with a leveraged swing, ball jumps off barrel with nice carry. Consistently squared the ball up hard during in game at bats. Verbal commitment to University of Rhode Island. Named to Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
