Tommy Isaacs is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'1'', 200 lb. frame from Ponte Vedra Beach FL, who attends The Bolles School. He has a plus athletic body with very good present strength and some physical maturity. Isaacs throws from a high 3/4's release point with a low energy delivery and sound pitching mechanics. He's a bit cross body on his release. He pounded the strike zone with a live running fastball that topped out at 89 mph. Isaacs throws easily enough that it's no problem to see him throwing in the low 90's down the road and maybe very soon. His breaking ball was a 76 mph slider that had sharp break to to it. Isaac moved the ball around the strike zone with a purpose and generally overmatched hitters. The few times a hitter reached first base, Isaacs showed a very good pickoff move, something we usually don't remark on for a right handed pitcher but that was evident with Isaacs' foot quickness and athletic ability. Isaac is a very good prospect who will get high level college attention and maybe even some pro notice this year. He is an excellent student.
