Devon Ortiz is a 2014 MIF/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Winter Springs, FL who attends Winter Springs HS. Slender young prototypical MIF's build. 6.91 runner, moves well through the ball on defense, good balance and actions, quick and sure through the ball, sometimes tries to be too quick, arm strength to stay at shortstop with quickness. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, limited shift, has quick hands and a short path through the ball, aggressive swing approach, line drive swing and contact, tools to improve with additional strength.
