Calvin Greenfield is a 2017 C with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attended St Rita Of Cascia HS but who has moved to Florida this summer. Strong broad shouldered athletic build, prototype for a next level catcher. 7.11 runner, athletic actions behind the plate, has strong and quick hands with a very good release, plenty of arm strength, makes accurate throws, high level defensive tools and skills. Right handed hitter, upper half half swing, can use his lower half better, contact oriented swing at present, hands don't separate consistently, have seen hit better in the past. Defense at a premium position will carry him for now. Very good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
