Samuele Lizarraga is a 2015 RHP with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends John F Kennedy HS. Nice athletic build, good present strength. Medium length arm action, calm easy pace, stays under control, keeps hands high through delivery, tight high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball to 85 mph, late running action at times, will also get cutting action at other times, gets downhill and throws fastball to spots. Change up best secondary pitch, nice arm speed at release, can cut or sink similar to his fastball. Twisty curveball with occasional depth, can improve consistency on release. Works quick, throws strikes and has an idea how to mix. Right handed hitter, late leg raise trigger, swings hard and the ball jumps well on ontact, swing gets long with early wrapped start but has the strength and bat speed to develop as a hitter with work. Good student.
