Yamil Pagan is a 2014 SS/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Slender live bodied athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Very good defensive tools, quick first step with lots of range, 6.55 runner, very good carry on throws, plus raw arm strength, works around and through the ball well, good balance, hands work well at the ball, tools to stay in the middle of the field. Right handed hitter, rotational upper body swing, has strength and bat speed, stiff hands at contact, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared, hard pull contact, has power potential to be tapped with adjustments. High level athleticism, key to his development will be in improving his swing mechanics. Good student. Named to the Caribbean Showcase Top Prospect team.
