Zack Engelken is a 2014 RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley West HS. Long athletic build, very projectable physically, High 3/4's to over the top release point, has to lean off upper body/head to get arm through, has leverage at release and works downhill. Good arm strength, steady upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, fastball mostly straight, trouble getting fastball to glove side with delivery. Power curveball has hard tight spin, sharp bite at times, still developing feel for location, straight change up. Potential power arm with the ability to spin the ball. Good student, verbal commitment to Nebraska.
