Spencer Steer is a 2016 3B/SS/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Millikan HS. Medium, compact frame, sturdy and athletic build with good present strength. Solid overall athleticism, ran a 6.91 60-yard dash. Named to National Showcase Top Prospect List. Moves pretty well in infield, shows solid lateral range, agility and charges ball well. Strong arm, gets on top of throws well with easy, loose arm-action and good arm strength. Right handed hitter, wide base with repeatable, simple approach, maintains good balance. Short, efficient path to the ball, ability to get extended, line drive-plane with natural carry, peppered gaps with line drives. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Oregon. Named to National Showcase Top Prospect Team.
