Gustavo Espada is a 2013 2B/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Salinas, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and High School. Slender young build. 7.11 runner, feet work well on defense, soft hands with a good exchange, arm strength limits to second base. Switch-hitter, different swing approaches. Big stride right handed, aggressive swing with some bat speed, has some pull/lift right handed, good separation and loose extension. Tends to pull off the ball left handed, flashes raw bat speed but needs better direction/balance.
