Blake Sabol is a 2016 C/OF/1B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Aliso Niguel, CA who attends Aliso Niguel HS. Large frame, lean and well-proportioned athletic build with long limbs. Impressive overall athleticism, ran a 6.77 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, has athleticism to also play in outfield or first base, where he also has experience. Comfortable behind the plate, receives well and has quick feet, gains ground on throws and flashes high level tools, arm strength. Left handed hitter, high hand set, easy weight transfer and balance in swing. Loose, fluid path with ability to stay inside the baseball, shows quick hands and flashes good extension. Strong feel for the barrel, flashes good carry to the pullside, should continue to see power develop as he fills out, continues to add strength to projectable frame. Very good student, verbal commitment to University of Southern California. Named to the National Showcase Top Prospect Team. Also selected to participate in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
