Bergesen is a 2-way prospect as a college player, but more a serious pro prospect a pitcher. He hit very well in Lincoln and showed MLB right field arm strength. On the mound he displayed a nasty splitter, not a real hard one at high 70s velocity, but a big change of speed downer. His breaking ball showed potential and his fastball was a consistent 88-90. The heater looked pretty easy for him and he can surely throw it harder yet. In fact, we think he might end up being a mid 90s guy in the near future. He's an athletic type pitcher with a great arm and a solid body. Brad is a good student who should end up at a top level Division One program. Then again, if he turns it up a notch before next June he could end up being a high draft pick. Brad will be followed closely.
