Calvin Campbell is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Canyon Crest Academy. Medium frame, thin athletic build. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a short arm action that allows him to hide the baseball well throughout his delivery. Arm works well and projects, aggressive pitching approach. Good tailing action to the arm side on the fastball, threw a lot of strikes. 12-6 shape on curveball with good potential, good sinking action on changeup with deceptive arm speed, solid secondary stuff and some feel for pitching. Kept the ball in the lower half of the strike zone well. Short swing with a line drive plane, online throws with good footwork from the outfield. Good student.
