JJ Bleday is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Panama City Beach, FL who attends Titusville HS. Large frame, muscular athletic, well-proportioned build with projection remaining. Primary left handed pitcher, slight crossfire delivery, able to locate well. Fastball up to 87 mph, flashes solid life and able to keep pitch down in the zone, will generate a lot of groundball outs. Flashed a mid-70s curveball with varied 1/7 to 12/6 shape, offering shows downer action with solid late depth, bite. Also plays outfield, fields well out in front, shows good overall actions and mechanics, arm strength plays well,up 92 mph in defensive drills. Left handed hitter, high back elbow, toe-tap timing trigger, can glide early at times. Lift and separate approach with fluid path, swing, shows strength off of the barrel with natural carry to pullside. Intriguing prospect on both the mound and in the batter's box. Very good student.
