James (Adam) Durrett is a 2015 3B/RHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Alabaster, AL who attends Thompson. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and a strong, well built frame. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves well on feet and shows nice footwork, fields the ball with a wide base and out front, short arm action on throws across with strength. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action from a full delivery. Stays tall on back side, steady tempo, small stride down the mound. Attacks hitters with fastball and does a nice job of getting on top of the pitch, filling up strike zone with slight arm side run up to 85 mph. Nice feel for 11-5 curveball, shows depth at 75 mph. Right-handed hitter, has some length to load and uses a leg kick trigger. Generates torque with hips and shows a quick bat with strength and whip in the barrel. Line drive swing plane with the ability to create lift, strength plays and shows hard line drive contact to pull side. Named to Southeast Top Prospect List. Good student.
