Grant Townsend is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Lake Tapps, WA who attends Bonney Lake HS. Medium frame, thin young build with remaining projection. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a long arm action. Short back turn windup adds deception to delivery, pitches from the stretch. Fastball runs to arm side, incorporates lower half well into delivery, fastball up to 85. Multiple breaking balls, slider is primary breaking ball with short tight break, flashed quality spin on curve as well, changeup showed good potential. Hits from a spread stance, aggressive contact oriented swing, stays inside the baseball well. Good carry on throws from both outfield and infield. Very good student.
