Monte Harrison is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Lee's Summit, MO who attends Lee`s Summit West HS. Large frame, lean athletic build, plus present strength with good quick twitch athleticism. Outstanding performance in the outfield workout, threw 97 mph with accuracy and plus carry, good body control through throwing motion and moves well to the ball. Runs well, in-game speed matches 6.65 60 yard dash time. Upright in the batters box, relaxed approach, little separation of upper and lower halves, pull approach, very good raw bat speed. Has ingredients for power, will need more weight shift through contact to unleash it, strong at contact. Not as polished as a hitter as most other high level position prospects due to three sport background, but has elite tools and upside. If he is able to iron out his swing and develop as a hitter, he has a chance to develop into a rare prospect. Dual-sport verbal commitment to Nebraska (football and baseball).
