Wally Scott is a 2005 first baseman/left handed pitcher from Redmond Washington with a solid body at 6 ft. 1 185 pounds. He hits from a coiled stance, with a leg lift and a slight hand hitch. He is short to the ball and generates good bat speed. He has an inside out approach with very good bat control. His hands stay in nicely and he sprayed line drives to all fields. Defensively, He is a good fielding first baseman with a solid glove. He showed good, accurate arm across the infield. On the mound he pitches from a 3/4 slot and he has a slight slinging action, with a rushed delivery. His fastball topped out at 76 with slight armside tail. He throws a big slow curve ball with decent break at 56 mph. Wally has good overall skills, and he will be a very solid LH hitter/first baseman at the next level.
