He has good arm strength (81 mph) with on line throws and good carry. He also showed range and made a great diving catch in center field. Hearl also showed his advanced defensive skills when he ran back to find the outfield fence and then came in a few steps to make the catch, and he made it look easy. He also ran one of the fastest 60 times at 6.88, and he showed plus game speed. Hearl is a right handed hitter with good bat speed from a narrow stance. He squares up well on the ball, and he swings hard. Sometimes he is late with his stride and hands, but the hitting tools are there. Hearl is a great defensive player with good overall skills. He is a must follow, and is a good student.
