2003 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
The 5-6 Moore is one of the fastest players in the country, even if the wet turf on the UNC field hockey field slowed him up a bit. He ran 6.80 with a slip at the start, but was consistently around 4.05 to 4.10 down to first in games. Moore also made an outstanding catch in centerfield, ranging far deep to his right to take away an extra base hit. What makes him more than just a speedster playing baseball is that Moore has some juice in his bat. He has a polished approach at the plate and hits stinging line drives to all fields. He's an exciting player, one that will help many top college teams as a leadoff hitter.
